This is Laurenson Lake , last year it froze over Nov 09, Welcome channel has ice forming in sheltered areas extending beyond the docks. The French Narrows area usually freezes 2 weeks later.=

Lake is open, we have white caps, last of the ice is moving, just remember it's 24" lower than summer levels !

I made it to queer but could not get around either side, solid white from queer to Strawberry, Ron Lunny on Scotty says Bare Point by weekend ??

Made it to bald island 5-6” of candled ice , from here should be 8-10 days to bare point.

Fwd: This is the Narrows, on Sunday I will see how far I can get, expect to make it to Bald Island. With Laurenson Lake ice free yesterday afternoon should put us 7-10 days to BarePoint? Still thinking May 15

This morning I was up on roof cleaning chimney, that piece ice broke free at 4:30 today and I can canoe across to East Allie, that means average 12 days to bare Point ?
